The Caloundra Chamber of Commerce was delighted to recognise Julie Chesterman as the latest recipient of the Community Impact Award at last week’s Coffee in Caloundra.
Presented by Pip Fawcett from Community Bank Caloundra – Bendigo Bank, the award recognises individuals who make a genuine and lasting contribution to the Caloundra community.
Pip was delighted to present the award to Julie, a passionate Caloundra resident and tireless community supporter who gives her time, energy and voice to an extraordinary range of local not-for-profit organisations, community groups, businesses and initiatives.
Julie is one of those people who genuinely shows up for her community.
Whether it is supporting Sconetime Caloundra and its work connecting seniors with the wider community, championing STEPS and the opportunities it creates, attending local events, supporting our small businesses and makers, or simply helping connect people who can make a difference, Julie is continually looking for ways to strengthen the community around her.
She is also a wonderful advocate for Caloundra’s business community. Julie regularly supports Chamber events and initiatives and actively encourages others to participate, collaborate and invest in the region. Her enthusiasm for local businesses and the people behind them is evident in the way she promotes, connects and celebrates their achievements.
The Community Impact Award is proudly supported by Community Bank Caloundra – Bendigo Bank, with the Bank collaborating with the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce to recognise people who make an important contribution to our region.
As part of the award, Julie receives a complimentary annual membership with the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce, strengthening the connection between our community leaders and our local business network.
