The Caloundra Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to celebrate one of our own: Keely Abbot of Kinetic, a valued committee member and corporate partner of our Chamber, has been named Young Business Woman of the Year at the 2026 Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Network Awards.
The awards, now in their 27th year, were presented at Venue 114 last Friday night, bringing together finalists, business leaders and members of the Sunshine Coast community to celebrate the achievements of women across the region’s business sector. Winners were recognised across seven categories, honouring women at every stage of their business journey, from those just starting out to leaders of long-established companies.
For Keely to be named among this year’s winners is a fantastic achievement, and one that speaks volumes about the energy, drive and dedication she brings not only to Kinetic, but to our Chamber and our wider business community. As a committee member, Keely has given her time and expertise to help shape and support the work we do for local businesses, and this award is a well-deserved recognition of everything she contributes.
Awards like this matter. They shine a light on the women building, leading and growing businesses right here on the Sunshine Coast, and they remind us all of the impact that recognition can have. SCBWN president Paula Williamson summed it up perfectly at the awards, noting that amplifying one woman rarely stops with her alone. It builds confidence, opens doors and creates opportunity for others to follow.
That is exactly the spirit Keely brings to our Chamber, and it is exactly why we are so proud to call her one of our own.
