Take a Bow Caloundra Region Volunteers

As we move into another exciting season across the Caloundra region, it’s important to reflect on the role the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce continues to play in leading regional prosperity — not only through membership, events and advocacy, but through the investment of time, energy and collaboration that helps strengthen our entire community.

The Chamber proudly delivers and supports a growing calendar of community activations and markets, including the Caloundra Street Fair, Currimundi and Caloundra Twilight Markets, while also preparing for the upcoming re-launch of Aura Fresh Twilight Markets on 5th June 2026. We are equally excited to now be supporting the activation of the Moffat Beach Street Party in partnership with Sunshine Coast Council on 28th May 2026 (Thursday) — helping elevate one of our region’s most vibrant coastal precincts during a time of need.

Collectively, these initiatives contribute more than $20 million in economic impact into our local economy, supporting small businesses, market vendors, food and beverage operators, breweries, distilleries, entertainers, retailers, services and community organisations. But beyond the economic value, these events create something equally important — connection, vibrancy and community pride.

Our role as a Chamber extends well beyond simply running events or supporting membership. If we stay true to our four key pillars, we must continue focusing on efficiencies and the best use of our time, creating strong communication platforms that elevate businesses and community groups, collaborating with our partners and community, advocating for our region through business and local, state and federal governments, and celebrating  the people and places that make our region unique.

This month, that commitment is reflected in the work we are doing across the region — supporting the Aura community through the relaunch of Aura Fresh Twilight, helping elevate and activate Moffat Beach businesses when they need support, and celebrating community through the co-delivery of the Winter Wunderland event alongside Sunshine Coast Council and the Bulcock Street business community.

We also recognise the important role our markets and events play in supporting local entertainment and emerging talent, providing opportunities for buskers and performers to grow their audiences and become part of the vibrant atmosphere that keeps locals and visitors coming back week after week.

As we continue this work together, we encourage our members and broader community to think beyond “What’s in it for me?” and instead ask, “What can I contribute to help strengthen this incredible region during times of need?” Just last week we celebrated national volunteers week, let’s just take a minute to recognise the contribution of our volunteers in the community….. Take a Bow Caloundra Region Volunteers!

Because when businesses, community groups, government and locals work together, Caloundra doesn’t just grow — it thrives.
