Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal - 13th May

I’ve had the privilege, alongside my brothers, of being part of the Salvation Army breakfast in Caloundra for many years now, and it’s something that continues to mean a great deal to me.
This event is a simple but powerful reminder of what community is all about—people coming together to support one another in a practical, meaningful way.
Right now, more than ever, there are people around us doing it tough. Whether it’s financial pressure, isolation, or just the weight of life’s challenges, many in our community need a helping hand. Events like this breakfast are a chance for us to step up, even in a small way, and show that we care.
I’m incredibly proud to be part of the Caloundra community. It’s a place where people look out for each other, and this event reflects that spirit perfectly. Giving back doesn’t always require grand gestures—sometimes it’s just about showing up, sharing a meal, and being present.
I’d really encourage you to take a little bit of time out of your day on the 13th of May to attend the Salvation Army breakfast. Bring a friend, bring your family, and be part of something that makes a genuine difference. Your presence matters more than you might realise, and together we can continue to support those who need it most.
