Building skills. Creating opportunities. Strengthening our community.
STEPS Group Australia is a national not-for-profit delivering education, training, employment, and community services that empower people to build independence and meaningful futures. Founded on the Sunshine Coast in 1989, it supports people facing barriers to participation, including disability, mental health challenges, and migrant backgrounds.
At the heart of its impact is STEPS Pathways College—Australia’s only disability boarding college for young adults with autism and disability. Students live on campus, building independence, confidence, and practical life skills in a safe, supportive environment.
Through STEPS Social Businesses, including the STEPS Garden Centre and STEPS Café, students gain real-world experience, develop job-ready skills, and connect with their community.
🌟 Through STEPS Pathways Charity, every donation helps create brighter futures.
To date, Steps for STEPS, a local fundraiser, has raised $42,600—and donations remain open.
A heartfelt thank you to Chamber members and community supporters, including:
Pip Fawcett (Bendigo Bank), Century 21, JAX Tyres, Resolve Fitness, Kings Beach Bar, and Caloundra RSL (Presenting Partner), with additional support from Andrew Wallace MP and Kendall Morton MP.
The STEPS team values its strong connection to Caloundra—where it lives and works—and the local business community’s ongoing support through sponsorships, donations, and real-world opportunities for students.
