The Caloundra Chamber of Commerce has been proud to announce the successful launch of TasteCaloundra.com.au — a new community-owned digital destination designed to shine a spotlight on the incredible culinary, tourism and lifestyle experiences that make Caloundra one of the Sunshine Coast’s most loved coastal destinations.
This initiative has been made possible through Sub Regional Funding secured from Visit Sunshine Coast, with the funding aimed at increasing visitation to Caloundra and supporting local tourism, hospitality and retail operators during non-peak periods.
Recognising the importance of creating a lasting legacy for the region, the Chamber chose to invest the funding into a sustainable community asset that would continue delivering value well beyond the initial campaign period. The result is Taste Caloundra — a dedicated platform celebrating the people, places and experiences that make our region unique.
A Digital Destination for Visitors and Locals
Taste Caloundra has been created to inspire visitors to explore more of Caloundra’s vibrant food and beverage scene while encouraging overnight stays and increased local spending across the region.
The platform features:

- Breweries and distilleries
- Fresh seafood and ocean-view venues
- Surf club dining experiences

Reaching New Visitors Through Targeted META Campaigns
A key component of the initiative is a targeted META advertising campaign across Facebook and Instagram, specifically designed to attract out-of-region visitors to Caloundra during quieter tourism periods.
The campaign is strategically targeting audiences within the broader South East Queensland drive market, as well as interstate and regional Queensland, encouraging visitors to discover Caloundra as a destination for food, events, markets and coastal experiences.
The advertising directs users to TasteCaloundra.com.au, Visit Caloundra and local accommodation providers, helping convert online interest into overnight stays, venue visitation and increased economic activity for local businesses.
Through destination storytelling, venue spotlights, event promotions and curated visitor experiences, the campaign is positioning Caloundra as a year-round destination worth travelling for.

The project is about more than tourism — it is about strengthening the local economy and supporting the operators who bring our region to life every day.
Through the campaign, the Chamber is working closely with restaurants, cafés, bars, breweries, market operators and tourism businesses to increase digital exposure, improve online discoverability and create stronger connections between visitors and local venues.
